Building Inspection and Neighborhood Services
Inspectors* are in the office and available for phone and counter inquiries from 8:00 am - 9:00 am and 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Monday through Friday. To schedule an inspection directly with an inspector, contact him during these office hours. Inspections may also be requested through the Inspection hotline or by faxing your request to the Building Inspection and Zoning Department.
Most inspection requests require 48 hours advance notice and are scheduled for the morning (9:30 am - 11:30 am) or afternoon (2:30 pm - 4:30 pm) window of time.
The Electrical Division requires the contractor to inform the inspector when a job is ready for inspection. If arrangements for access need to be made with the property owner, those arrangements can be made after the contractor has contacted the inspector.
*The residential garage inspector is in the office from 8:00 am - 9:00 am and 11:30 am - 12:30 pm.
