Crime Prevention >

The goal of the Concerned Parent Program is to prevent property loss or damage, personal injury, liability and underage alcohol consumption as well as other illegal activity.

The way our laws are currently written, the police can only enter a residence in case of an emergency or if the occupants or property owner grants permission. Underage drinking does not constitute an emergency and underage occupants can deny police entry to your home.

Underage drinking parties begin as innocent social gatherings and quickly grow out of control. To prevent this, a parent can enroll in the Concerned Parents Program. Parents sign a consent form and leave a key allowing West Allis Police Officers to enter their home during the dates and times specified.

If you are interested in enrolling in this program, a consent form needs to be filled out in person at the West Allis Police Department. Please supply a house key to be held at the Police Department until you return.

For further information on program conditions contact the Crime Prevention Bureau.
