Commendable Property Awards
The Forestry Division sponsors the annual Commendable Property awards for properties that show pride of ownership and special efforts to maintain the beauty of West Allis. Awards recipients are selected by the Beautification Committee and honored at an annual commendation ceremony in September of each year. In addition to the award, a sign is posted at each property and the City's Cable Communications Office creates video highlighting each property. This video may be viewed on City 25, our cable television station, throughout the year and online.

Nominations for Award
Nominations for Commendable Property Awards are accepted throughout the year. To nominate a property that shows pride of ownership, send the property address and a brief description of the property to the West Allis Beautification Committee, c/o DPW Forestry Division, 6300 West McGeoch Avenue, West Allis, WI 53219. The deadline for nominations is June 15 of each year. The properties are judged in early July, and the recognition ceremony is each September. Taking pride in your community can make West Allis an even better place to live.
